Equality: b.

When it comes to taxes and paying fair shares, the meaning of the word "equality" is different for Conservatives than for Liberals, People on the Right believe it is fair and equitable for everyone to pay proportionally equal taxes for equal work--i.e. they favor a flat tax rate. They figure that if 10% is good enough for God to administer his earthly kingdom, it is good enough for mortal governments. Whereas, people on the Left believe it is fair and equitable for people who make more, to pay disproportionately more--i.e. a graduated tax rate. This way, the "top 10 percent of income earners paid 71 percent of all federal income taxes in 2009 though they earned 43 percent of all income. The bottom 50 percent paid 2 percent of income taxes but earned 13 percent of total income. About half of tax filers paid no federal income tax at all." (heritage.org)
